In the aftermath of the 1906, this castle was constructed so that it could stand up to both fire and earthquake. The result was this fortress-like concrete compound in the Pacifica neighborhood of Sharp Park.  The Castle does have stairs and wheelchairs and walkers do not fit through some of the doorways.
