Adult / Senior Trips

New and exciting trips have been planned. Join us and explore the Bay Area - and beyond! Become a tourist in your own backyard, visit the man treasures nestled in the greater Bay Area, and meet other adventurers like yourself. Participants are responsible for their own transportation unless noted. Activity Levels for Trips


You must be able to walk four easy steep steps to board the bus or van. Let us know of any physical limitations prior to signing up so staff can try to accommodate your needs ahead of time. If you aren't sure where you fit, call us at 925-253-4216.

Level 1: Easy sitting/little walking. Must be able to stand 10 minutes without assistance or bring your walker or wheelchair. 
Level 2: Small amount of walking.
Level 3: Moderate to heavy walking.
Level 4: Heavy amount of walking/standing.
Level 5: Strenuous walking/hiking. 

Bouquets to the Arts: De Young Museum

Wednesday, March 14, 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 
Fee $78, Activity Level 3

Don't miss out on this exhibit that will be in the museum for one week only! Bouquets to Art is the de Young Museum's annual floral takeover, now in its 34th year. After your docent-led tour, you will have time to view other parts of the museum and visit the de Young Cafe for lunch. Fees do not include lunch. 

Hakone Garden Tour and Tea Ceremony

Wednesday, April 11, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. 
Fee $97, Activity Level 3

One of the National Trust Historic Preservation's premier site and over 100 years old, Hakone is one of the oldest Asian and Japanese estates in the Western Hemisphere. Your docent-led tour of the Hakone Gardens will also include a tea ceremony, and kimono wearing demonstration. The tea ceremony may be served on Tatami mats, so comfortable clothing is suggested. A boxed lunch will be provided and served in the picnic area of the gardens. 

Winchester Mystery House Tour/Santana Row Shopping and Lunch

Fee $79, Activity Level 3

Sarah Winchester was a grieving widow who continuously built onto her initially small, two-story farmhouse to appease the spirits of those killed by the guns manufactured by her husband's firearms company. Tour the house and then visit the Victorian Gardens, Museum, and Specialty Gifts shop. Following the tour, we will stop at Santana Row where you will have time to shop and have lunch on your own. Fee includes tour

Lavender Bee Farm


Thursday, June 7, 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Fee $73, Activity Level 2

Amid the rolling hills of Sonoma County, this family honey farm plays host to over 5,000 lavender plants and multiple hives. The tour includes lavender honey tasting and lemonade samples, and time to shop for items in the store. After the tour, we will visit the historical downtown Petaluma with plenty of options for lunch. Lunch is not included in the fee.
