Orinda Oaks is a 12-lot subdivision that was approved on April 11, 2006. The 23-acre site is located on both sides of Stein Way between Oak Road and Knickerbocker Lane.
On January 26, 2012 the City of Orinda approved modification to this subdivision and design review applications for the home designs on the 12 new single family lots within this subdivision. The subdivision includes grading approximately 175,000 cubic yards of soil to stabilize the site and to complete the subdivision improvements. It also requires the removal of 55 protected trees and will re-vegetate the site by planting over 200 native trees, hundreds of native shrubs and ground covers.
Construction of all 12 single-family homes have been completed in the Orinda Oaks subdivision.
